## one bucket per key

Your plan sets a requests-per-minute limit. Every billed endpoint draws from the same bucket - fetch, youtube and shazam together, not one each. Going over returns a 429 and costs nothing.

over the limit

```
{
  "ok": false,
  "detail": "Rate limit exceeded. Please try again in a few seconds or contact support to increase your limit."
}
```

### what to do about it

Wait a few seconds and retry. The window is a minute, so a short backoff is enough. If you need a higher limit, ask support - the limit is per plan, and it can be raised on an account without changing the plan.

note: /balance has its own separate budget of 60 a minute, so polling it never eats into the bucket your real calls use.
