# downloader api documentation and reference - fastsaver api

every endpoint, every field, with a real response you can copy. one GET, one shape, and a panel on each page that runs the call.

## one get request

Paste a link, get the media as json. No proxies, no cookies, no bot blocks to deal with - that part is ours.

the whole thing

```
GET https://api.fastsaver.io/v1/fetch?url=https://www.instagram.com/p/example
X-Api-Key: fs_sk_…
```

### three rules

- Read `ok`, not the status code. Every body has it.
- Check `type` before reading `download_url`. An album puts the media in `items` instead.
- Out of credits is a 400 - there is no 402.

### before you start

authentication is one header. errors explains the envelope. credits lists what each call costs, and rate limits covers the 429.

Or skip reading and run something against your own key.
